The tallest tower in Cyprus will appear in Limassol
The Limassol Municipality has granted permission for the construction of an underground parking lot for a 44-story skyscraper, which will become the tallest building in Cyprus. The height of Aura by Shacolas will be 181.5 meters.
With its decision, the council allowed the use of the underground area beneath Andrea Zaimi Street for the private and public parking of the project. It is expected that in exchange, the developer will offer compensation to the city, including providing the basement of the building for use as a gallery, and offering 300 public parking spaces that residents and guests of Limassol can use.
Construction will begin on the site of the Debenham's shopping center, not far from “The Oval” and the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
The design of Aura by Shacolas was developed by the British architectural firm Foster + Partners. In total, the tower will have 136 luxurious apartments with two, three, and four bedrooms. Residential spaces will start from a height of 24.3 meters.
The project is estimated to cost 108 million euros.
