Explosive Device Detonates Near Tavern in Limassol
In Limassol, early this morning, an explosion rattled the entrance of a tavern, marking the second attack on the establishment owner in two years.
According to the police press service, at around 4:50 a.m., unidentified individuals planted an explosive device at the entrance of the tavern in Zakaki. The explosion caused minor damage to both the premises and the equipment inside. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Police officers swiftly arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area and launching an investigation in collaboration with bomb disposal experts.
As reported by state radio, a similar incident occurred at the same tavern two years ago. Police suspect personal motives behind the attack.
