In Limassol, the lights were lit on the main Christmas tree
During the past weekend, the illumination of the main Christmas tree in the city was ceremoniously switched on. Now, the sparkling lights can be enjoyed by all residents of Limassol. The beautiful tree can be admired at Grigori Afxentiou Square in front of the district municipality.
All those who attended the festive event were greeted by performers with an entertainment program, and the head of the city administration addressed the audience.
"Limassol is associated with human kindness, with the spirit of Christmas. Let us allow the news of the birth of Christ to penetrate our souls and be manifested in deeds. So that no needy family is left without a festive table, no child is left without the joys of play, no neighbor is left in need of comfort and hope, and no sick person is left without a visit," said the mayor.
