A cycling event will be held in Paphos on September 21 as part of European Mobility Week
The Municipality of Paphos (Δήμος Πάφου) is organizing a cycling event called "I Can Also Ride a Bike" (Γιατί Μπορώ και με Ποδήλατο) on Sunday, September 21 at 18:00, starting from Kennedy Central Square in Paphos.
The event is held in support of European Mobility Week (Ευρωπαϊκή Εβδομάδα Κινητικότητας) and aims to encourage the use of alternative means of transport in urban life. According to the organizers' press release, participating in such activities helps maintain physical fitness and reduces air pollution and noise levels.
European Mobility Week was established in 2002 and is a key Europe-wide initiative promoting sustainable mobility patterns and fostering an ecological culture. As part of the campaign, municipalities are encouraged to implement and promote sustainable transport solutions, and citizens are urged to consciously use alternative modes of urban transportation.
For Paphos residents, the event offers an opportunity to join a collective action in support of sustainable mobility and to visibly demonstrate the benefits of cycling. Organizers ask participants to observe the announced start time and meeting location.
