In Paphos, a barbershop was set on fire
In Paphos, unknown individuals set fire to a barbershop the night before. The barbershop belonged to an Arab entrepreneur.
According to emergency services, the fire in the barbershop premises broke out around 22:30. Fire brigades arrived at the scene, managing to prevent the spread of the fire to neighboring buildings. However, the barbershop itself was completely burned down.
It is reported that the shop belonged to a 38-year-old man of Arab origin.
Mihalis Nicolaou, assistant operational director of the Paphos police, stated that apparently, the cause of the fire was arson. According to preliminary data, the barbershop was set on fire for personal reasons rather than out of racial hatred.
The police are investigating the arson. There is already a suspect - one man is being sought in connection with the incident.
