Russian Man Drowns in Limassol Port
A 38-year-old Russian man drowned near the old port of Limassol, Cyprus. He was pulled from the water unconscious and rushed to the hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.
The incident happened on the evening of Monday, February 24. At around 10:00 PM, a local shop employee spotted the man floating unresponsive near a restaurant and alerted others. Bystanders pulled him ashore and called emergency services. A police officer who arrived at the scene performed first aid, but the man did not regain consciousness. He was taken to the hospital, where doctors later pronounced him dead.
Authorities confirmed that the victim was a 38-year-old Russian national. An investigation into the circumstances of his death is ongoing.
