THE PORT OF LIMASSOL HAS RECORDED A RECORD NUMBER OF CRUISE VISITS
Management company DP World Limassol announced that in October 2023, a record cruise ship call was recorded at the port of Limassol. The harbor welcomed 31 ships and about 48,000 passengers to the island.
This marks the company's best monthly performance since taking over the cruise terminal in 2017, according to the announcement.
“Cruise passengers had the opportunity to explore the city and take part in organized excursions to the island’s attractions, making a significant contribution to the local economy,” the company noted.
It is also noted that many guests have chosen excursions to the wine villages of Limassol, as well as other excursions that are in high demand, such as Paphos Castle and the Troodos Mountains.
Tourists from all over the world were on board the cruise ships that arrived in Limassol in October, including the US, South America, Italy, Spain, Indonesia, Australia, Israel and the UK.
