Motorboat Almost Collides with Swimmer in Protaras
In Protaras, police are investigating a near-miss incident involving a motorboat and a swimmer. The probe was initiated after a video of the incident surfaced online.
The footage shows the boat approaching dangerously close to a swimmer near Konnos Beach in Protaras.
The boat company owner has filed a formal complaint with the police. Authorities are reviewing the evidence and have interviewed witnesses who were present at the scene.
According to Christos Andreu, a police spokesperson on the Alpha Kalimera program, the incident may have stemmed from a dispute between two local boat owners.
