Dog Rescued from 12-Meter Pit in Sotira
In Cyprus, the Fire Service successfully rescued a dog that had fallen into a 12-meter-deep pit. Fortunately, the animal is in good condition.
According to Andreas Ketti, spokesperson for the Fire Service, the incident occurred last weekend in Sotira, within the Ayia Napa municipality. The Famagusta Fire Department responded promptly to the call about the stranded dog.
Rescue teams arrived with a fire truck and successfully retrieved the dog from the deep pit.
The operation was successful, and the dog was brought to safety without any injuries. The animal's life was not in danger.
The Water Department and relevant authorities have been notified about the incident. The pit where the dog fell has been temporarily closed.
