Earthquake Strikes Mediterranean Sea Off the Coast of Cyprus
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale was recorded off the Karpas coast in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred yesterday evening at around 6:40 PM TRNC time (7:40 PM Cyprus time).
The earthquake’s epicenter was located in the sea, approximately 28 kilometers offshore and at a depth of about 7 kilometers.
The coordinates for the earthquake are Latitude: 35.85917° N, Longitude: 34.35111° E. No injuries or damages have been reported.
