Holy Monday Weather in Cyprus: Clear Skies with Wet Snow in the Mountains
According to the Cyprus Department of Meteorology, a weak low-pressure system will dominate the island on Monday, April 14, with a mild high-pressure system gradually setting in from Tuesday.
This morning, mostly clear skies are expected, though periods of increased cloud cover and isolated showers are possible, mainly in mountainous areas. Wet snow may also fall on the highest peaks of the Troodos Mountains.
Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach around 20°C inland, 18–20°C along the coast, and around 9°C in the mountains.
Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear. Temperatures will dip to around 8°C inland, 10°C on the coasts, and as low as 3°C in the mountains, where frost may form in some areas.
As of the latest report, snow cover measured 2 cm in the Troodos Square area and 4 cm in Chionistra.
Looking ahead, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday, and Holy Thursday are expected to bring mostly sunny weather. Temperatures will gradually rise through Thursday, with a noticeable warming trend.
