Mandarin Festival to Take Place in Cyprus over the Weekend
This weekend, on March 23rd and 24th, Cyprus will host the Mandarin Festival. The celebration takes place in the small village of Dierona, nestled in the foothills of Troodos, for the fourth consecutive year.
As part of the Mandarin Festival, visitors to the village will have the opportunity to taste traditional sweets and pastries made with mandarins. Additionally, other products made from this citrus fruit, such as jams, ice cream, and beverages like zivania and liqueurs, will be available. At the fair, everyone will have the chance to purchase handmade craft items.
The festival program also includes tours of the mandarin orchard, presentations of hand-embroidered items, and demonstrations of traditional musical instruments.
Moreover, visitors can participate in workshops on painting mandarins, baking mandarin bread, and distilling mandarin spirits.
The IV Mandarin Festival will take place on March 23rd and 24th from 11:00 to 17:30 at the main square of the village of Dierona.
