Cyprus Authorities Deport Seven More Illegal Migrants
The Police of the Republic of Cyprus reported that, following a coordinated operation by local immigration services and Frontex, seven individuals illegally residing on the island were forcibly repatriated.
The deportation carried out on Friday, organized by Greek authorities with coordination from the European agency Frontex, marked the sixteenth joint repatriation operation of 2024 in which the Cyprus police have participated.
The total number of deported or repatriated individuals this year has reached 9,420. By comparison, during the same period last year, 9,276 illegal migrants were repatriated.
