Graves of Children and Adults Discovered During Archaeological Excavations in Chloraka
Graves of children and adults, along with other significant archaeological finds, have been discovered during excavations in the “Pallures” area of Chloraka.
The excavation of the ancient settlement, dating back to 3000 BC, was conducted by an archaeological team from Leiden University in the Netherlands, in collaboration with the University of Cyprus and the Department of Antiquities. The team presented the latest updates on the excavations on Friday at SKE Chlorakas.
According to a statement from the Cultural and Environmental Group of Chloraka, the archaeological team is based at the Chloraka Community Council, with excavations led by Professor of Archaeology Dr. Bleda During. Further details about the artifacts found have not been provided.
