Over 2,600 Traffic Violations Recorded in Cyprus Within a Week
Police in Cyprus recorded more than 2,600 traffic violations during inspections conducted across the island over the past week.

According to the police, between Monday, December 2, and Sunday, December 8, officers identified:
- 777 instances of speeding,
- 201 violations of seat belt regulations by drivers and passengers,
- 51 drivers caught under the influence of alcohol, and
- 100 parking violations.
In addition, 1,290 other traffic offenses were documented during the same period.
The police emphasized that daily traffic inspections aim to prevent fatal and serious road accidents while increasing awareness among all road users.
