In one week, more than 10,000 people became digital citizens in Cyprus

In the week since the launch of the Digital Citizen app in Cyprus, it has already been downloaded by more than 10,000 people. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Digital Policy, Nikodemus Damianos.

The Deputy Minister also introduced the Digital Assistant – an artificial intelligence-based tool for real-time chats, which will be available on the government website starting December 18.

The Digital Assistant will "constantly improve" and learn through chats to provide users with up-to-date information.

In its pilot version, the Digital Assistant will serve users in social insurance services.

The program also includes a digital identification document "eID," which will be launched in the first two weeks of the new year. Additionally, more services for people under 16 and foreigners will be added soon.

It is worth noting that the new app, available on Google Play and the App Store, was launched last week, opening a "new era" of digital services for the population and businesses.

To use the app, people will need an active and certified CY Login profile, which provides access to government systems and services.

The authenticity of all digital documents can be easily verified by scanning the QR code.
