Over 200 People Deported from Cyprus Last Week
Authorities in Cyprus deported more than 200 individuals from the country last week, all of whom were residing there illegally.
According to police reports, a total of 201 individuals were repatriated from the Republic of Cyprus during the week. Of these, 139 people voluntarily returned to their respective countries, while another 62 individuals were deported. Authorities also noted ongoing efforts to increase the number of repatriations.
Earlier in June, it was reported that approximately 4,900 illegal residents had left the Republic of Cyprus in the first five months of 2024.
