In Cyprus, over 300 traffic violations were recorded in a day
In the past 24 hours, more than 300 traffic violations have been recorded across Cyprus. The primary violation has been speeding.
In the last day, there were 70 cases of speeding recorded across Cyprus. Additionally, during a police operation in the Famagusta area, 21 individuals were caught riding buggies and ATVs without helmets. Three individuals were also arrested for driving under the influence, and their ATVs were confiscated.
Police emphasized that speeding is one of the leading causes of fatal road accidents in Cyprus.
It is also noted that traffic checks will continue daily in Cyprus to prevent fatal and serious accidents and to ensure proper awareness of road safety.
