Limassol Resident Assaults Police Officer with Shovel
A resident of Limassol attacked a police officer with a shovel, causing injuries. The suspect was swiftly arrested.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred late last night. Around 1:00 a.m., a traffic camera operator alerted authorities, reporting that an unknown man was interfering with his work.
Police officers responded promptly and found the 38-year-old man in a vehicle. Upon seeing the officers, he exited the car holding a metal shovel, shouting insults, and then attacked one of the officers, injuring him in the leg.
The man was quickly subdued, arrested, and taken into custody.
