Pro-visa
The Cypriot pro-visa for Russian citizens was valid from May 2009 and greatly simplified entry into the country - it was enough to fill out a form and receive an electronic permit to cross the border the next day.
This visa allowed you to stay in Cyprus for up to 90 days a year, and the only required document was a passport valid for at least six months.
Since 2022, the pro-visa for Russian citizens is no longer available, but it may become available again in the future, although no one can say when.
National Visa of Cyprus
Issued through the consulate or, if there is none in the country, through the Civil Registry and Migration Department of the Republic of Cyprus. The total stay under this visa does not exceed 90 days within six months.
National Visas of EU Countries
If you have a national visa from any EU country (category D), except the UK and Ireland, you are allowed to enter Cyprus without additional visa arrangements. A valid passport, a confirmed purpose of travel, and sufficient funds for the trip and stay in Cyprus are required. As with the Cypriot national visa, the stay is limited to 90 days within six months.
- Exception: citizens of Turkey and Azerbaijan
Schengen Visa
Entry to Cyprus is allowed with any visa issued by a Schengen Agreement member state, provided it has been used - meaning you must have visited the issuing country.
