How to Apply for the Old Russian Passport Sample in Cyprus?
The procedure for obtaining a 5-year passport is similar to the process of obtaining a 10-year passport, but there are important nuances.
The main difference is that the application is submitted on a different platform: passportzu.kdmid.ru.
DOCUMENTS FOR THE OLD-STYLE PASSPORT
- Four color photos sized 3.5×4.5 cm (photos will not be taken at the consulate).
- Valid international passport and a copy of the first page.
- Valid domestic passport, copies of the first page, and the registration page.
- If necessary, a statement for changing the spelling of the name and/or surname (the sample can be downloaded here).
- In case of a surname change, a marriage dissolution certificate or a certificate of name change is also required.
For underage Russian citizens, the following additional documents are required:
- Birth certificate with a note of citizenship and its copy (the certificate should contain information about the parent submitting the application).
- Previous international passport (if available).
- Document confirming the authority of the adoptive parent, guardian, or custodian.
- Documents regarding changes in the surname and name of parents, if such procedures have been conducted.
- Valid domestic passport of the parent, copies of the first page, and the registration page.
After receiving the documents, you will be given a certificate displaying information to check the readiness of the passport. You can do this in your personal account on the portal of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. Once your application status reaches 100%, you can be confident that the document is in Cyprus and ready for collection.
To collect the ready passport, you will need to schedule an appointment with the consul, choosing the service "Issuance of Passports and Certificates of No Criminal Record."
Collection is done in person, including for children. You will need to present the existing international passport and the domestic passport of the Russian Federation if available. For children, additionally, the birth certificate is required.
