Beach description

Esentepe Halk Plajı is located in the centre of the village of Esentepe, in the east of the Kyrenia District. Thanks to its convenient location, it attracts both residents of nearby areas and tourists staying in Esentepe, Bahçeli and Tatlısu.

The shore combines sandy and fine-pebble areas, while the entry into the sea is fairly gentle. The beach is suitable for a relaxing holiday, swimming and family time.

Hilltown Beach Club is located directly next to the municipal beach. In addition to a swimming pool and beach area, it has a restaurant serving European and Mediterranean cuisine.

During the summer season, the club regularly hosts parties with invited DJs and music programmes. Open-air film screenings and other evening events are also organised from time to time. The admission price depends on the programme and event format. On regular days, guests can use the sun loungers and swimming pool at no additional charge, paying only for the food and drinks ordered. No minimum deposit is required.

Esentepe Sports Festival

The Çatalköy–Esentepe Municipality holds sporting, cultural and family events at Esentepe Halk Plajı.

The First Esentepe Sports Festival takes place here from 24 to 26 July 2026, and both adults and children can participate.

The festival programme includes:

The festival is organised by the Çatalköy–Esentepe Municipality. Participants must register in advance for each sport, while admission for spectators is free.
