Mobile App Developed in TRNC to Combat Patient Rights Violations

The World Association of Patient Rights (EHHD) has launched a mobile application called the "Patient Monitoring Platform" (HİP) as part of a project aimed at monitoring patient rights, funded by the EU aid program for the Turkish Cypriot community.

The app is designed to report patient rights violations and address emerging issues effectively.

According to information from the Patient Rights Association, this innovative app aims to improve patient satisfaction and the quality of medical services. It allows users to easily and quickly report violations within the healthcare sector.

Key features of the app include user-friendliness, instant notifications, privacy protection, feedback options, support for Turkish and English languages, contact details of medical institutions, and sections dedicated to the 14 fundamental patient rights.

"Our public research indicates frequent violations of patient rights in medical services. EHHD has introduced the HİP app to ensure the voices of affected patients are heard. As the first of its kind in our country, the HİP app serves as a crucial tool for protecting patient rights and enhancing medical services," stated EHHD President Emete Imge.

Anyone accessing healthcare services can download the Hasta İzleme Platformu (HİP) mobile app for free on iOS and Android devices. They can use it to report any patient rights violations they encounter during scheduled medical examinations, diagnostics, or treatment. All reports are treated confidentially.
