72-year-old female diver injured during a dive in Alagadi
In the Alagadi area, 72-year-old Sheila Lynne Smith was injured during a dive and hospitalised.
Police reported that the incident occurred yesterday at around 12:00 in the sea off the coast of Alagadi. The woman was scuba diving when a dangerous situation arose underwater.
Smith was able to reach the surface on her own, after which people nearby helped her out of the water.
The injured woman was taken by ambulance to Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital in Lefkosia, where she was admitted to the intensive care unit.
