Without a license and from the police: in Nicosia, a driver tried to flee inspectors
During a routine traffic inspection carried out yesterday by Nicosia traffic police in the Dereboyu area, a driver without a driving license tried to escape from law enforcement officers.
According to police, after noticing the checkpoint, the man pulled his car over to the roadside and tried to run away on foot. The police went after him, and a brief chase took place in the area.
The incident drew the attention of passersby, who witnessed what was happening. The investigation is currently ongoing.
The police stressed that inspections aimed at ensuring road safety will continue.
