The “Touch Nature, Leave No Trace” campaign was held
The Nature Sports Association “Patika” (Patika Doğa Sporları Derneği), together with the East Mediterranean University’s stand-up paddleboarding club (EMU SUP Club), held a joint environmental campaign under the slogan “Touch Nature, Leaving No Trace.” The comprehensive event, aimed at strengthening environmental awareness in society, took place at the EMU Beach Club. The program combined camping, hiking, coastal cleanup and stand-up paddleboarding activities.
In his official statement, the chairman of the “Patika” association, Erdoğan Işık, emphasized that the initiative became a model example of synergy between outdoor recreation, sport and volunteering. According to him, the most effective way to protect the environment is to bring people together with nature and strengthen their sense of involvement and responsibility for preserving ecology.
