Domestic dispute in Lapta ends in stabbing
In Lapta on the evening of May 30, an incident fueled by jealousy left one person injured. According to the police press office, around 9:00 p.m. a 31-year-old man came to the house of a local resident, accusing him of sending messages to his girlfriend.
The man kicked in the front door and forced his way into the apartment. During the ensuing argument, the homeowner took a knife and inflicted wounds on the uninvited guest in the left knee, shoulder, and right hand. The injured man was taken to Dr. Akcicek State Hospital in Kyrenia, where he was discharged after receiving medical treatment. Police are investigating the incident.
