Toy Story Challenge Takes Social Media by Storm: Gymnasts Rack Up Hundreds of Millions of Views
A необычный trend is rapidly gaining popularity on social media — a challenge inspired by Pixar's Toy Story, in which professional gymnasts suddenly “freeze” right in the middle of difficult moves.
The video looks as if it were generated by artificial intelligence: the athletes perform acrobatic elements in sync, and then, on cue, instantly freeze in unnaturally motionless poses, fully imitating “coming-to-life toys.”
Within just a few hours, the clip spread across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts and, according to entertainment media, amassed a total of about 250 million views in a single day.
The trend references the famous scene from Pixar's film, where toys “come to life” but instantly freeze when a person appears nearby. This simple idea unexpectedly turned into a mass internet challenge.
