DAÜ represented Northern Cyprus at the Turkic World cultural trip to Uzbekistan
Eastern Mediterranean University (DAÜ) was represented at the “Turkic World Academy” cultural trip to Uzbekistan, organized in cooperation with Genç Memur-Sen, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
The programme continued the educational process of the “Turkic World Academy”, which took place from 27 October to 20 November 2025 and focused on the economy, politics, international relations, climate, energy and integration.
Fifty people were selected from approximately 6,000 participants from 72 countries and given the opportunity to take part in the cultural trip to Uzbekistan.
As part of the visit, the participants visited the Embassy of Türkiye in Uzbekistan, as well as the cities of Tashkent, Urgench, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand, where cultural and academic meetings were held.
DAÜ was represented by Ali Doğdu, a research assistant in the Department of Business at the Faculty of Business and Economics.
During the trip, the participants had the opportunity to explore the history and cultural ties of the Turkic world, as well as present information about the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Eastern Mediterranean University.
