Bad weather disrupts Ercan Airport operations: plane diverted to Adana
Bad weather in Northern Cyprus disrupted air traffic: a plane bound for Ercan Airport was unable to land due to weather conditions and was diverted to Adana Airport. Delays have been reported for a number of other flights.

Heavy rain, hail and squally winds began on the island on the morning of 29 August, and during the day the weather warning was raised to orange level. Disruptions to the schedule affected not only passengers’ plans but also evening programmes at hotels and entertainment venues.
Concerts scheduled for tonight are now in doubt: some performers and their teams may not arrive on time or may reach the island late. Hotels and organisers are monitoring the situation and assessing alternative flights in an effort to hold the events as planned.
Flight schedules at Ercan Airport will be adjusted throughout the day depending on the weather: if conditions improve, delayed flights will be returned to the schedule, while aircraft diverted to alternate airports will be directed back to the island.
Airlines may change departure times, so passengers travelling through Ercan today are advised to check their flight status with the carrier and through official channels.
