Famagusta: Man Injures Himself with a Knife and Is Detained
In Famagusta, a 42-year-old man was detained after injuring himself with a knife in the street and beginning to behave aggressively.
According to police, at around 13:30 on July 31, on Gazi Mustafa Kemal Boulevard, the man, H.C. (42), illegally carrying a knife, stabbed himself several times in the chest area.
He then began shouting, stepping in front of moving vehicles and waving the knife, posing a threat to those around him.
Police detained the man. After a medical examination at Famagusta State Hospital, he was kept under observation.
Police continue their investigation.
