Seven specialists are working with the families of those missing in the Filo Jet crash in Kyrenia
On the eighth day, relatives of the 15 people missing after the Filo Jet vessel crashed continue to wait in Kyrenia. Seven psychosocial support specialists sent by Türkiye’s Ministry of Family and Social Services are working around the clock with the families at the port of Kyrenia.

The specialists are working together with staff from the Kyrenia Social Services Directorate. A group of six people who arrived from Mersin and Adana is involved in field work: they hold individual meetings with relatives, and assistance is provided on a 24/7 basis.
If relatives of those missing are in Türkiye, support is arranged for them through the relevant social services directorates at their place of residence.
The Filo Jet vessel crashed on 30 August. Initially, eight people were listed as dead; later, the bodies of five more people were recovered from the wreckage at a depth of 554 m, bringing the total number of fatalities to 13. Fifteen people remain missing.
The search is being conducted simultaneously on the seabed, on the surface of the water and along the coastline.
