Northern Cyprus announces results of TL 50 million grant programme for entrepreneurs

The results of the selection process for the 2025–2026 grant programme for entrepreneurs, conducted in Northern Cyprus by the Investment Development Agency YAGA and the Centre for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises KOBİGEM under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, have been announced. TL 50 million has been allocated to support the winners.

The programme is funded by the Office for Development and Economic Cooperation (KEİ) of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia. It consists of three stages: around 100 people first completed training in the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, after which the 70 participants who successfully completed the course prepared their own business plans with personal consultants.

At the final stage, the entrepreneurs presented their projects before a jury. Following the evaluation, those who will receive grants were selected: applicants can view the decision on their application in the programme system by logging in with the same details they provided when submitting their application.

The programme’s budget has increased: in the 2024–2025 cycle, TL 30 million was allocated for grants, and 22 entrepreneurs out of 61 applicants received support. A total of 49 people completed the training, while 41 candidates reached the stage of presenting their projects before the jury.

The programme has operated in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus since 2016. During this time, 900 applications have been submitted, 492 people have completed the training, 181 entrepreneurs have received grants, and the projects created with their participation have generated around 370 jobs. Companies in healthcare, agriculture, technology, education, culture and the arts, sports, advertising and services have received support.
