Coal truck crashes into a petrol station in Turkey
A fatal accident occurred in Turkey’s Bursa Province: a truck carrying coal lost control and crashed into a petrol station. The accident killed 54-year-old Erdinç Çirit, who was shopping in the petrol station’s store at the time of the collision. Two other people were injured.
The tragedy occurred in the Çakırca area of İznik district, on the Orhangazi — İznik road. According to preliminary information, the truck, driven by 52-year-old Kudret K., went out of control, overturned, demolished the fuel pumps and crashed into the petrol station’s shop at high speed.

Erdinç Çirit died at the scene from his injuries before medical teams arrived. The truck driver and petrol station employee İbrahim Y. were injured. After receiving first aid, they were taken to hospital. Ambulance crews, firefighters, gendarmerie officers and AFAD emergency response teams arrived at the scene.
After the scene examination was completed, the victim’s body was taken to the morgue for the necessary procedures. Turkish law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the causes of the accident.
