Drift show and rally car races held in Iskele

In Iskele, on the grounds of the covered market, as part of the 54th traditional festival, demonstration runs by drifters and rally cars took place. The event began at 18:00 and continued until late in the evening. The runs were held in the parking area of the covered market in Iskele. The area was prepared for performances by drifters and rally cars, and spectators watched the program from behind the barriers and from nearby buildings.

First, the drifters took to the track. The cars negotiated the section in controlled slides, leaving tire smoke behind them and drawing the attention of spectators with the sound of engines and flames bursting from the exhaust pipes with loud pops.

After that, the program continued with rally cars. The participants demonstrated course driving, maneuvering between obstacles, and the high-speed elements characteristic of rally runs.

By evening, the runs were already taking place under the light of street lamps and headlights. A trade area was also operating on the venue for festival visitors.

The festival will continue until July 5, 2026, but already the municipality of Iskele can express its gratitude to the festival visitors, who are enjoying various events for the second day in a row. The very well-organized trade area was a particularly pleasant surprise. In any case, I have never seen such a level of event organization in Northern Cyprus before.
