İskele gets a certified 21.0975 km half-marathon course
The course for the future half-marathon in İskele has undergone official measurement and received a national certificate confirming compliance with World Athletics and AIMS requirements. The measurements were carried out by international course measurer and judge Rıfat Arabacı, accredited by the Turkish Athletics Federation.
The course measures the classic 21.0975 km. The certificate is valid for five years and allows İskele to host official international-level half-marathons, with results recognised in world rankings.
The first İskele International Half-Marathon will take place on 27 September 2026. In addition to the main distance, participants will be offered 10-kilometre and 3-kilometre races. Registration is already open on the Turkish Athletics Federation’s website.
