Worker falls into 3-metre reservoir in İskele and fractures lower back
A 30-year-old worker suffered a serious injury while working at a construction site.
The accident occurred on 24 July at around 08:30 at a construction site in İskele.
According to police, worker Mobil Ahmed, 30, who was on the first floor of the building, lost his balance while carrying items and fell into a water reservoir approximately 3 metres deep.
The injured man was taken to Famagusta State Hospital, where doctors found that he had fractured his lower back. After examination, the man underwent surgery.
He is currently under observation in the orthopaedic department, and treatment is continuing.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
