Kıb-Tek to purchase 25,000 LED streetlights for street lighting

The Cyprus Turkish Electricity Company KIB-TEK has signed a contract to supply 25,000 LED streetlights for the modernization of the street lighting system across Northern Cyprus.
The agreement was signed with Galigalar Trading Ltd, which won the tender. Under the project, 20,000 lights will be purchased for wooden poles and another 5,000 — for metal ones.
The cost of the equipment will amount to €2.085 million excluding VAT, while the total project cost will be €2.418 million including VAT.
Under the terms of the contract, the supplier must deliver the entire batch of lights to KIB-TEK within three months.
The company noted that the project will make it possible to replace the existing street lighting with more modern and energy-efficient LED systems, reduce electricity consumption and cut maintenance costs.
