Commission to announce new minimum wage today
Today, the Commission for Determining the Minimum Wage will convene for the third time to approve the second minimum wage level of 2026.
The meeting will begin at 11:00 at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. Representatives of workers, employers and the state will hold the final stage of negotiations, after which the new minimum wage is expected to be announced.
According to the ministry, the parties will continue discussing the final parameters of the new minimum wage.
Minister of Labour and Social Security Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu previously stated that the commission should make a final decision at today’s meeting and present it to the public.
If objections are submitted after the decision is published, the ten-day period prescribed by law for their consideration will begin.
