A cat in Turkey was rescued from the roof of a six-storey building with the help of… an ironing board
In the Turkish city of Kars, local women rescued a cat that had become trapped on the roof of a six-storey building in an unusual way. Instead of waiting for rescuers to arrive, they came up with an ingenious solution — using an ordinary ironing board as an improvised bridge.
According to eyewitnesses, the animal had ended up on the roof of a neighbouring building and could not get down on its own. To avoid frightening the cat or exposing it to additional risk, the women carefully placed the ironing board between the two roofs, creating a safe crossing.
The plan worked almost immediately. The cat cautiously crossed the unusual «bridge» and safely made its way to a secure place, where its rescuers were waiting. A video of the operation quickly spread across social media, with users calling the women’s ingenuity «genius» and the story itself yet another example of Turks’ special affection for cats.
