In Lefkoşa, a court remanded two Nigerian nationals in custody for three days in an attempted murder case: according to investigators, they caused a 20-year-old man to fall from a height of about 9.5 m. The victim is in intensive care and remains in life-threatening condition.

According to testimony presented in court, the incident occurred on 5 September at around 23:30 in a one-bedroom apartment in Lefkoşa. An argument over a debt broke out between the 26-year-old female suspect and the victim, 20-year-old Zeka Chodjuk.
Police officer Ali Yeşildal told the court that the suspects — a 26-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both Nigerian nationals — acted together, as a result of which the victim fell to the ground from a height of approximately 9.50 m.
The victim was taken to Lefkoşa State Hospital and placed under observation in the intensive care unit. According to information presented in court, his life remains in danger.
Judge Dilşah Karayel ordered that both suspects remain in police custody for three days while the investigation continues.
