TRNC parliamentary committee sends three bills on civil servants to plenary session
The Administrative, Public Affairs and Health Committee of the TRNC Republic Assembly unanimously approved and sent to the parliament’s plenary session two legislative proposals and one bill concerning civil servants and their remuneration.

The meeting was held on September 3 under the chairmanship of Sunat Atun, a deputy from the National Unity Party (UBP). The committee considered in succession the bill “On Security Forces Civil Servants (as amended),” the legislative proposal “On Civil Servants (as amended)” and the legislative proposal “On the Regulation of Monthly Payments (Salaries and Wages) and Other Allowances for Public Employees (as amended).”
The committee approved all three documents without a single vote against and placed them on the agenda of the plenary session. The committee’s members, UBP deputies Ahmet Savashan and Fırtına Karanfil, as well as UBP deputy Resmie Eroğlu Canaltay, took part in the proceedings.
Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Security Forces Command and the KAMUSEN civil servants’ union were invited to the meeting. They presented their positions on each of the documents under discussion.
The amendments concern the calculation of salaries and other allowances in the TRNC public sector, as well as the status of security forces personnel. The Republic Assembly’s plenary session will make the final decision on all three documents.
