Motorcyclist hit a police officer and tried to flee
On the Kyrenia — Alsancak bypass road, during a traffic check, the motorcycle rider ignored police instructions to stop, hit a law enforcement officer and fled the scene.
According to the police, the motorcyclist was driving at a significantly excessive speed. In an attempt to avoid the check, he deliberately steered the vehicle toward the police officer. As a result, the officer sustained serious injuries and was unable to continue performing his duties. In addition, his mobile phone was damaged.
During the investigation, the offender was identified. He turned out to be 23-year-old Y.S. The suspect has been detained, and the investigation is ongoing.
