The number of workplace accidents in Cyprus fell by 55% over eight years
Between 2017 and 2025, the number of workplace accidents fell by 55.3%.
According to data published by the newspaper Phileleftheros, the number of such incidents decreased by a further 7.2% in 2025 compared with the previous year.
Falls from heights remain the most common cause of workplace injuries.
According to the study, falls accounted for 31.3% of all accidents across all sectors. In the construction industry, this figure was 38.7%.
