A major clean-up has begun at Long Beach
Following reports on the condition of the beaches in Northern Cyprus, extensive clean-up work has begun at Long Beach. Our correspondent reports that the area is being washed down, while staff are collecting cigarette butts and other small litter.
At the same time, some holidaymakers continue to leave rubbish behind despite the ongoing work. The situation shows that keeping the beach clean depends not only on the work of municipal services, but also on the visitors themselves.
