A large-scale cleanup was held at Bedis Beach
The environmental organization Temiz Ada Grubu carried out a large-scale cleanup at Bedis Beach in the Yeni Boğaziçi area. Volunteers among foreign residents living in Northern Cyprus took part in the campaign.
During the cleanup, the participants collected a large amount of trash accumulated along the shoreline. The work was carried out with the support of heavy machinery provided by the Yeni Boğaziçi municipality.
Temiz Ada Grubu Chairman Kasım Uluçaylı thanked the municipality for its assistance and noted that most of the collected waste had been left by beachgoers.
According to him, despite the presence of trash bins, many vacationers continue to leave waste on the shore and in the bushes, which remains one of the main causes of environmental pollution.
The organization reminded everyone that caring for nature is a shared responsibility not only of public services, but of every resident. Volunteers urged beach visitors to dispose of trash in designated areas and treat natural spaces with care.
