All 29 olive oil samples pass inspections in Northern Cyprus
From 12 May to 15 July, inspectors from the Department of Agriculture conducted inspections of businesses involved in the production and storage of olive oil. During the inspections, specialists checked that the required registration was in place and that sanitary and hygienic requirements were being met. Twenty-nine olive oil samples were taken for analysis to detect adulteration.
The tests were carried out at the Laboratory for the Analysis of Olives and Olive Products at the Agricultural Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the TRNC. The samples were assessed in accordance with the criteria of the Turkish Food Codex.
According to the analysis results, all 29 samples were found to comply with the requirements. No signs of adulteration were detected in any of them.
