The population of Iskele is approaching 40,000
The Iskele region is showing rapid demographic growth, approaching the 40,000-resident mark. According to local authorities, intensive urbanization and the development of the construction sector have turned the area into one of the region’s most dynamically developing centers, placing a significant burden on local infrastructure.
Municipal services note that the current capacity of utility and social systems is insufficient to serve such a population, as infrastructure planning has not kept pace with resident growth. In this regard, city authorities are calling for a revision of the region’s development strategy in order to ensure quality water supply, waste management and transport accessibility amid the sharp increase in population density.
