Operation in Ozanköy: Live Ammunition and a Prohibited Crocodile Hatchling Found at Villa
Six live rounds of ammunition and a crocodile hatchling measuring approximately 35 centimetres were found at a villa in Ozanköy during a joint operation by the Crime Prevention Department of the Kyrenia Police and the Gönyeli Police Station.
Police said the animal’s species has not yet been identified. An investigation is under way into the circumstances of its acquisition and keeping, as the production, purchase and sale of crocodiles are prohibited.
S.K. was detained in connection with the incident. The suspect was brought before the Kyrenia Court with a request to extend the detention period.
