Police penalise driver and passenger for dangerous ride: fine exceeds 21,000 lira
North Cyprus police held the driver and passenger of a car accountable after a video of their dangerous ride on the İskele — Famagusta highway appeared on social media.
The footage shows the passenger leaning the upper part of their body out of the car window while it was moving near the Lions roundabout. After the video was published, Famagusta traffic police identified the offenders and prepared administrative reports.
For the violations committed, the driver and passenger were fined a total of 21,267.90 Turkish lira and received 25 penalty points.
